UCSD Jazz Ensemble

The student Jazz Ensemble at UCSD is arranged by audition and organized according to instrumentation and student interest, and ability. Each ensemble meets on a weekly basis under faculty guidance and has the opportunity for both on- and off-campus performances. Students collaborate with Director Kamau Kenyatta to perform classic Jazz compostions as well as develop, arrange, and perform new compositions. Each semester the students perfrom at UCSD's Conrad Preby's Music Center Concert Hall, and in some occasions EAG has had the pleasure and honor to record such beatuiful performances. Using our 8 channel Audio Package ensured the aesthetic of Jazz is maintained, while offering a high fidelity and honest recording of the production.
